I have had other brand's carbon filter on my shower for years. Last week, the housing snapped off. I was about to order another when I saw the Vita fresh.

Other brand's carbon filter never really got rid of the chlorine smell. I doubt it's pore size was a good match for chloramine that we in SoCal have in our water. My water testes out at over 500 ppm using a TDS meter. Horrible! But the vita fresh does an admirable job of not ridding the water of the chlorine and chloramine, but making the water feel softer.

I'm a convert to the Vitamin C filters!
