What I did, following a chemist's recommendation, is to fit this filter in tandem with a charcoal filter.

I don't have KandiMarie's medical issues but since our city changed to chloramine my hair became brittle and skin very dry, and my husband got terrible dandruff.

I only fitted this filter 2 days ago and the result was dramatic. I didn't need any oil or lotions on my hair even after the first wash. It is softer and shinier. I feel confident it will return completely to its normal state in a few washes. My skin feels softer too.

Yes. At times it seems that water only fills the filter and isn't moving. Try turning up the pressure just to see the pressure bubbles moving through.

Another plus, for reasons I don't know, the water pressure was so much better that I turned down the faucet considerably.

I will update this review in one month to be absolutely fair.
